Everything great happens in October

So, this semester is killing me. I feel like I have zero time all of the time. School + child = hard. I'm grateful that right now Nathan isn't as busy as he's going to be next semester. You see next semester he's going to be taking the MCAT. This means he'll be taking an MCAT prep course Tuesdays, Thursday, and Saturdays with a grand total of 15-ish hours a week, fulfilling his calling as a Priest Quorum advisor (which means Wednesday night mutual, anything involving the Priests and camp outs), volunteering 5 hours on Wednesdays at an Ear, Nose and Throat clinic, taking 12?(maybe more) credits, and working 30 hours a week. So, we're excited for summer.

Zac loves his solid foods. Most of the time he doesn't even want to nurse. Don't know what to do.

My hair is quite a bit longer than it was a year and a half ago when we got married :) but I want to cut it. I like short hair a lot more. However, I told myself and Nate that I would grow it out till it was long enough to donate...So, now I just have to give up that ambition.

This is the awesome plant that Nate's parents gave us as a house warming gift. Now that it's getting chilly here the flowers are turning purple. How cool is that?!

My birthday was October 22 and some awesome things happened.

1. My awesome friend Jocelyn shared some wonderful things about me on her blog and enabled my happiness to come in huge bucketfuls.

2. MY SISTERS CAME TO VISIT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Disclaimer: Not All of my sisters came to visit. Only Becca and Honky came. BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER. They also brought us a zucchini from their garden so we can make Honky's pasta; formally known as Zucchini Pasta.

While my sisters were in town we did things together. We went to Target and I got clothes!!! Shopping with sisters is better than most anything else. We played lots of games - including a Rook game that lasted for 14 rounds and over 2 hours :) I was so thrilled and wanted to play again after that but they wouldn't let me. We also went up the tram :) Remember my last post? Well, since then the top of the "mountain" has become a foggy place.

Honka and I were showing our love in the usual way.

Another good part is that Becca is coming back soon! In about a week she has a Frisbee tourney down here and is going to stay with me :)

Honka also crocheted this most adorable hat for Zac. It matches his eyes exactly!

We've gone mobile! Whenever Zac is on the ground he gets to where ever he want to be. He doesn't crawl - unless you count backward crawling - but he scoots and rolls. Nathan just said, "Our baby is a maniac." Me, "Why?" Nathan, "Because he moves soooo much." We had to baby proof our house and are still finding things that need to be higher or less interesting.

For Halloween Zac was a lion. He was sooo cute. Can you tell what we were? Hint - it's the title of a book.

We carved the most super, cool pumpkin ever! I copied this picture, which I must say I'm pretty proud of. Nathan used his scalpel to do the the fine lines of the hair, eyes and such. Doesn't it look fabulous?!

Zac LOVES his books!

He even reads when we go running. (Sometimes he actually just chews on the corner.)

We went to Costco and had samples :) After I ate mine, Zac got a hold of my wrapper.

Nathan is our resident vacuumer. I was trying to get some stuff done too so Nate put Zac in the back-pack. Cute, huh?

Zac still chews on everything including himself.

Zac was playing on the floor while I was doing homework. I looked up and found him just staring at the plants instead of playing with his toys.

Zac growls. So do I. While running the other day, we passed this little white rat dog, Chihuahua? It kinda had a little yip in it and a little growl that it threw our way. Mostly, it just looked at us as we passed. Now, we all know how I feel about little dogs. YUCK! So, I went GRRrrrr at it. I realized what I'd done after we were about 10 feet away. I just growled at a random man's dog. Ooops. Good thing he was to stunned to chase me down.
Okay, back to Zac. Remember that he was a lion for Halloween? Well, it was perfect because he's a growler.

This is a video of us trying to get Zac to growl. It's cute.

Nathan and I have been trying to get a video of these awesome guttural sounds for a couple weeks but we've never been able to. Until my sisters came to town! They helped me to get a video of Zac actually growling!
